This photo was taken while we were walking to the Galata Tower. The neighborhood was dark in some corners and bright in others. Small, empty, and uphill streets that all lead to the tower. As we neared the tower, the houses were in better condition and young artists and designers had opened up shops for the tourists on their way to Galata. Although, I can not imagine too many tourists just happen upon this street. From the looks of this home, you would think that we were in the poverty striken parts of town, especially when you look in the window just to the left of the sheets hanging. There is a mattress propped up against the window. I am so happy that I took this shot. I would have never really had the chance to see that mattress and really ponder the mysteries of this street. It is too bad that I do not have the name.
