Saraben Studio and Cut Paper
Short little post today. Went to the Museum of Art and Design on Saturday to see Slash - the cut paper exhibit. The new space that they moved into about a year ago is amazing! Not sure if the exhibit was worth $12 even at the student rate. However, there were some pieces that spoke to me. Like the pieces from this Studio:

Pretty awe inspiring work from an architecture firm. The concept for the exhibit was that paper is every where and at the surface, not that interesting. Unless of course it is an Arche's watercolor block. BUT when you start to cut into it, shape it, manipulate it, etc. it becomes a piece breathtaking piece of artwork. Just check the link above, you'll see what I mean.
